How can you Make the transition from the Colorado Certification to ASSE
(American Society of Sanitary Engineers}?
ASSE
has provisions for reciprocity through re-certification. An individual who holds a
valid (not expired)
How long is the certification good for (i.e. 2, 3, 4 years etc.)?
ASSE Certifications are good for 3 years.
ASSE will notify you at least 3 month before your certification expires.
This class is on
a “need” basis. Classes will be
organized when enough applications have been received for a specific area.
There will be a
minimum of 2 weeks from the organization of the class to the starting date.
Minimum required for ASSE to process the applications.
For a class to
be held there will need to be at least 7 students applying for a class held in

review of current regulations and basic cross-connection information. There
will be no time for actual testing practice to prepare for the
hands on part of the exam. Please be prepared or
call for other time to practice.
